Welsh road medals

The Welsh road relay championships were held yesterday at Pembrey Country Park and Cardiff took medals in most of the races, including gold in the under 15 boys and under 11 girls.

Congratulations to everyone who raced today and a special thank you to those runners who still competed either as individuals or as part of an incomplete team, due to a large number of late withdrawals.

Pride of place goes to the under 15 boys, not only winning the gold medal but with Ben Reynolds, on the final leg, running the fastest leg of the race.

In the under 11 girls' race (which is not run as a relay but the best three runners from each club count as a team) Alice Davies was third home, followed by Millie Gold in fourth and Lowri Windsor 10th)

Under 11 girs (Gold): Alice Davies, Millie Gold, Lowri Windsor.
Under 13 boys (Silver):
Ben Farrell, Joe Joyce, Rhys Blow, Ben Hughes. Ben Farrell 6th fastest leg.
Under 15 girls (Bronze): Nia Clatworthy, Bethany Gold, Megan Friedl. Nia Clatworthy 3rd fastest leg.
Under 15 boys (Gold): Lloyd Jones, Jacob Reynolds, Ben Reynolds. Ben Reynolds fastest leg.
Under 17 men (Bronze): Morgan Glyndwr James, James Gold, Iestyn Edwards. Morgan Glyndwr James 6th fastest leg.
Senior Men (Bronze): Matt Clowes, Carwyn Jones, Jac Smith, James Thie. Matt Clowes 5th fastest leg.
