Didn't they do well?

Wednesday 23 August 2017

The next generation of Cardiff AAC Junior athletes enjoyed an outstanding weekend at Welsh Athletics Junior Track & Field Championships held in Wrexham last weekend, 19-20 September 2017, picking up 13 gold medals, 12 silver and 7 bronze, a total of 32 medals.

There were many strong performances from Cardiff AAC athletes with the under 13, 15, 17 and 20 age groups in action, resulting in an extremely successful weekend and great preparation for the up-coming UK Youth Development League final in Birmingham on the 3 September.

The Championships were packed with the next generation of Welsh talent and Cardiff AAC athletes travelled in their numbers to compete with the best in Wales. Spread over two days the weather was a typical British weekend, which affected personal bests but not the determination to become champions. The crowds in Wrexham certainly provided a perfect atmosphere for the young athletes to compete in.
